Wellness
Wellness Counselors and Wellness Assistants create a safe and welcoming space on the school campus to offer mental health support, healing from trauma, social emotional wellness, and a space for self-regulation where they can reset or regroup during the day. Practices include: Short-term therapy, check-in & out, restorative practices, small group sessions, art therapy, mind & body wellness activities, mindfulness workshops, relaxation and mindfulness activities, and connection to community resources for students and families.
We currently have Wellness Centers at each of our high schools and middle schools. Our elementary school sites and our K-8 sites have Wellness Spaces. Services in these centers/spaces include counseling, groups, family case management, safe spaces, drop-in center, parent education, and student connection.
