and Transition Partnership Program
Welcome to the Morgan Hill USD WorkAbility I and Transition Partnership Program
Our focus is to provide vocational services that support transition for students at the high school level who have an IEP, 504 plan, or those with a diagnosed disability. We provide resources and training to empower students to achieve their post-secondary goals for college and career! This is provided through:
- Job Exploration Counseling including vocational assessments
- Workplace Readiness Training
- Work Based Learning Experiences
- Instruction in Self-Advocacy
- Post Secondary Counseling
About Workability I and Transition Partnership Program
WorkAbility I is an annual grant from the California Department of Education that is open to students in high school with an Individual Education Plan. MHUSD has held the grant in excellent standing since the early 1990’s.
The Transition Partnership Program (TPP) is a three year renewable contract with the California Department of Rehabilitation that opens to students when they turn 16.
Both programs focus on vocational services that help students with career and job exploration, life skills, self-advocacy, and post secondary counseling. Both programs are funded for a predetermined number of students each year, which means space is limited. While both programs are similar in nature and have overlapping resources and supports, they also have unique aspects and goals that we ensure eligible students are connected with.
