Class of 2020

The Morgan Hill Community Celebrates the Graduates!!

join the class of 2020 celebration!

On Saturday, June 6, we'd like our wonderful Morgan Hill community to come out and celebrate the graduates!

Starting at 9:00 am, the Class of 2020 will pick up their diploma from their campus, and pose for a brief photo opportunity. From there, they will join in a car procession route which will travel down Monterey Rd. through downtown, up Tennant Ave., along Butterfield Blvd., and down Cochrane Rd. The Rotary Club of Morgan Hill and Kiwanis of Morgan Hill have sponsored photo banners which have been displayed downtown to honor the graduates. Any time between 9:30 am and noon, graduates will be entering the route from different starting points. The roads will not be closed so there will be other drivers along the route. You will be able to spot the graduates by their car decorations and their caps and gowns.

We encourage members of our community to come out anywhere along the route to cheer on the graduates as they are driven along the route in decorated vehicles. Feel free to bring signs, banners, noisemakers, etc.  Print a map for your reference.

Safety Guidelines: Morgan Hill Police Department will have motorcycle patrol to ensure the safety of all passengers in the vehicle procession. Spectators have been approved for this event. We just want to remind everyone that shelter in place is still in effect and that coming out to support our graduates should not be considered a “gathering.” We ask that you practice social distancing, keeping a 6 foot distance from those outside of your household. Also, we strongly encourage you to wear face coverings to help prevent the spread of illness, unless: you are under the age of 6, have trouble breathing, or are otherwise unable to remove your face covering on your own. It is important to note that face coverings are not a substitute for always practicing physical distancing and frequent handwashing.
