Custodians Certified

Congratulations to these 32 staff members for completing the Basic Certified Custodial Technician course study exam!

On November 21st and 22nd, most of our Custodial Staff and Substitute Custodians completed a two day (12+ hours) of basic training in order to gain the recognition of Basic Certified Custodial Technician. We had 31 out of 40 in total custodial members and 1 Facilities Admin. (Spanish Translator) take the course, testing (open book), and all members passed!

The course covered customer service, chemistry of cleaning, cleaning of above-floor surfaces, cleaning of hard floor surfaces, cleaning of carpeted surfaces and cleaning of restrooms, as well as best practices and equipment correctly being used country wide.

Each member received 12.5 continuing education units, as we continue to build upon making a first class custodial team at MHUSD.

With this completion and passing grade each staff member will receive a Certificate Awarded by the Cleaning Management Institute, taught by one of the only 3 Master Custodial Trainers in the country, and a signifying patch of this accomplishment. This Certificate is good for two years.
