At the March 30 Board of Education Meeting, the Board approved a new logo submitted by staff.
Julie Singh, a local designer, worked with the district to create an updated logo to represent the Morgan Hill Unified School District. In keeping with the color blue, which signifies stability, trust and loyalty, the existing logo was revamped with an updated shape which is more versatile. The harsh, primary colors of the previous oval logo were softened and enriched with modern hues.
While Morgan Hill is not as agriculturally centric as it once was, the local area is still comprised of many natural wonders and bodies of water. Flanked by the Santa Cruz mountains on the West side and the Diablo mountain range on the East side, the iconic El Toro mountain is visible and prominent from all points in town. We have Coyote Creek, Anderson Lake and Coyote Lake within our region. The confusing white capped mountain and crop lines were replaced with a mountain range and body of water which could represent any of the above natural elements.
The logo will be rolled out on the district's social media, the website, the signage in front of the district office and on the fleet of vehicles as they are replaced. The new logo will be used in all digital communications, stationary and documents. The transition is effective immediately but may take a number of days or weeks for some of our existing collateral to be updated.
