Trust in me to represent on behalf of the students of Morgan Hill. Allow me the opportunity to better our school system and prioritize us. Vote me to demonstrate how educated we’ve become, and to justify the value of education to the rest of Morgan Hill’s student body. To serve as the Student Board Member, you need the grades, responsibility, and attitude to qualify, but also a willingness to step up. For many, being the only youth in a room full of professional adults can be intimidating. But I have the determination in my commitment in this role, in my passion in education, to not be shy to speak my mind and to participate fully as a Board Member. I’m confident in my confidence, and I’m no stranger to public speaking and have experience with pushing for change among different organizations, one already being the Morgan Hill School District. So, permit me to be the Student Board Member for this school year. I’ll use any resources or opportunities I find from this position to better the quality of student life. Because at the end of the day, it’s not sports performance or test scores that make up Sobrato, Live Oak, or Central; it’s the students. HI! I’m Vickki, a senior at Ann Sobrato High School and I am running for the 2024-2025 school board member!
Little about me, I play the violin and participate in an orchestra in San Jose. Playing the violin as long as I have has taught me about perseverance. When something gets challenging I can’t give up just because it is the easy option, but to keep on pushing forward.
I’m the vice president of the Brato Blogs at Sobrato. This club we film, do interviews about sports that are overshadowed. This has given me the chance to advocate for those that can’t do it themselves.
I wanna become a student board member because I know that I can give what you guys want! I’m open minded and always listen to other people's opinions. Having these different perspectives can help us work together to see what we want changed in our schools/district.
